Windows 8



Windows 8 launch on Friday (26th Oct),Windows 8 is a latest windows operating system developed by Microsoft, for use on  PC, laptop's, desktop, tablet's. The software giant foresees people using common OS,seamlessly interoperating between different devices without any glitches. it also envisions hybrid gizmos that can function as a full fledged tablet or laptop depending on the user requirements. this OS that would work just as well with touchscreens as it would with key-board and mouse,MS has had to make some big changes to Windows.

Windows 8 is a latest windows operating system developed by Microsoft, for use on  PC, laptop's, desktop, tablet's.

Windows 8 change to operating system platform, mainly focused on improving on mobile device,tablets,new security featuers and performance improvement.

Windows also introduce a new shell and user interface based off Microsoft design language, a new start screen and update the logo to represent application and give a new app platform with an emphasis on touch screen input,the new window store to obtain and purchase apps for the system, ability to synchronized program and setting b/w multiple devices.



Logging in.


windows 8 heavily integrated with Microsoft's web services. user provided with the ability to log on their PCs with a windows Live ID for seamless functioning between various devices.




Gestures.

Since this OS supposed to run on Tablets, the modern UI designed to work with gestures such as pinching in and out, or quickly scrolling through apps with a swipe of finger.


Apps.

Windows 8, like the Google play store and iTunes store similar..,Windows 8 comes with its own store where you can download and install apps.The store will be limited to modern apps.








File copy.

File copy now comes with buttons to pause, resume and stop each transfer, and provides details on copy speed too.

 





New and changed features. 

New features in windows 8 faster start up  through UNIFIED EXTENSIBLE FIRMWARE INTERFACE and new hybrid boot mode, a new lock screen with clock and notification. It also support of USB 3.0 device, which allows the faster data transfer and improve power management with compatibale device.


Windows explorer.

Windows explorer  , which has been also re named file explorer. File operation dialog have been updated to provide more detail statics,ability to pause file transfer,and improvement in the ability to manage conflicts when copying file.

Task manager.

Microsoft says that 85% of Windows user bring up the applications and process Task manager to check which program is using up system resources and to closed  that are not responding. So Microsoft to decided to make this easier with a revamped Task manager that display a simple list of program that are running on your PCs,with handy end task buttons, to the user requirement. 

Task manager also be redesign including new processor tab with the option to display fewer or more details of running applications and background process, a heat map using different colors  the level of resource

Security and Safety.

Additional featuers in Windows 8 two new authentication methods tailored towards touch screen( PIN no and Picture passwords),in additions of antivirus capabilities to Windows defender smart screen filtering integrated into desktop, and support for the secure boot functionality  on the UEFI system to protect against malware infecting the boot process. Windows 8 also provide integrated system recovery through the new Refresh or Reset function.

Removed features.

Aside for remove the removal of start menu, several notable feature have been removed in Windows 8. Support for playing DVD has been removed in windows media player due to cost of licensing the necessary decoders and prevalence of steaming services such as Netflix. Windows 8 will still support third party  DVD playback software.

Software compatibility.

windows IA-32 and x64 processor run most software compatibile with previous version of windows. as same as windows 7: 64 bit windows 8 runs 64-bit and 32-bit software while 32 bit windows 8 runs 32-bit and 16-bit software.  Windows RT,a version of 8 for the system is ARM processor only support  application include with the system(such as special version of office 2013), supplied through windows update, or windows store apps to ensure the quality ensure apps available on arm. Windows Rt not support running IA-32 or x64 application.windows store apps can either be cross compatible b/w windows and windows RT.

Higher Education Enrolment In INDIA Rises 65% In Four Years

* The number of students enrolling for higher education in INDIA has risen in a dramatic manner.

*  The gross enrolment ratio(GER)  for higher education has shot up  from 12.2 to 20.2, a rise of almost 65 percent , in the last 4 yr.

*  these are encouraging signs for INDIA, given that the developer countries have a GER of 35-40.


*  to meet the challenge,  INDIA will require 800 more universities and 50,000 more college to be set up.

GROUP DISCUSSION

 GROUP DISCUSSION.

WHAT IS GROUP DISCUSSION

Group discussion is a process where exchange of idea & opinion. A GD comprises of a small group of candidates. the topic can be general or specific topic. example- corruption, FDI in retail, live in relationship should be encouraged, facebooking ...a time pass activity..as like that.

 Remember to take during discussion. it is not necessary you conclude by a  +ve  or -ve  point of view, but you to summarize the hole discussion well and give a solution of the point over other's. In GD each individuals member give their own views about this topics.  candidates gives the time limit during the discussion topics.

Tips on Group Discussion.

1. Subject matter is essential:

You should have subject knowledge and be well aware of latest happenings around the world. To put your good point you should have depth knowledge about that topic.

2. Make sure your knowledge is widely:

You should read a over a period of time, helps in your understanding in particular subject is well. Reading not add knowledge to your database, but improve your quality of your vocabulary skill is well.

3. Select the latest update with the help's of "MAGAZINES" or CSR (competition success review):

Always read magazines like as CSR or other competition magazines, whose give's a rich/latest content to enhance your knowledge database. whose gives you full detail about all topic's. or always read current affairs to awareness about that, what happening in the world present time .

4. Be aware the repeated topic's in GD:

Majority time's GD topic's are repeated, so be aware that topic;s in advance. for example- corruption, terrorism, lokpal bill, unemployment, child labour, gender discrimination, reservation in educational institutions in GD topic's. you could make prepare these topic's in some specific point's or with date and fact's.


5. Communication skill:

Before sitting in GD, you should well in your communication skill. you should have a good vocabulary and decent command in english or your pronunciation is well or correct. you will be better speaker for your GD time.

6. During GD period listen the topic's carefully:

During GD period listen the topics carefully and understand it.
1. First thing you should hearing the topic's and make note's on the sheet during that time.
2. Make a rough sketch of point that you would like to speak in put your point in that group.
3. You will be advance in discussion, but be aware what you speak, if you want to select.
4. Don't be deflect on the main topic's  or avoided these statement like as- i agree/disagree..etc.

7. Maintain & balance your tone:

In GD time juries are judgement your leadership quality with your body language and as well as. if you don't agree of other participant point of view, don't increase your tone to objection of that point. listen his point of view and put an alternative dismissing point  in front of them.

8. Gastures:

During the time on GD , juries are observe you , to sit & your  reaction during discussion period. Body gasture is very important, because body language say a lot of about you. In GD sit stright , avoid leaning back, knocking the table with your pan, finger's movement, or don't get distracted.


9. Be first and also last the speak:

As mention earlier to start GD in advance point's and closing it to also brownie point's. If you take the opportunity to close the GD , then you summarize it.
